Adult Pottery Programme

Slow down, unwind, and reconnect with creativity through clay.
This 8-week course is designed for adults of all levels to explore both hand-building and surface decoration techniques in a relaxed studio environment.
Week 1: 25th July Saturday morning10am
Mini pottery wheel & textured hand-building
2 hours
Week 2:
Slab building & form construction
2 hours
Week 3: 8th August Saturday 10:00-15:00
Traditional Wadang (roof tile) workshop
A special extended session – 5 hours
Week 4:
“Tile Cat” sculptural piece
2 hours
Week 5 &6
Break week – kiln firing
Week 7： 5th September 10am
Underglaze painting – introduction
2 hours
Week 8：
Underglaze painting – Fenshui technique
2 hours
Week 9:
Glazing & finishing
2 hours
All materials included
Works will be professionally kiln-fired
Small group classes, relaxed pace, no experience needed
Every Saturday 10am start
410 NZD for term 3. including practice clay, glaze and one level of kiln shelf firing both bisque fire and glaze fire.
If make more than one level of artwork. Additional firing can be added for one level bisque firing 15 dollors. Glaze firing for 20 dollors per one level.
