Drip tiles, on the other hand, have a downward-pointing, rounded edge and are positioned at the bottom of the roof overhang tiles, mostly resembling a crescent shape. The function of eaves tiles and drip tiles is primarily encapsulated in the concept of "blocking." In ancient times, when most of the buildings were constructed with wood and clay, these tiles served to safeguard the wooden components and walls under the eaves from being soaked by rainwater. Additionally, for roof overhangs with steep angles, the cylinder and plate tiles play a role in obstructing and beautifying the roofscape.
